Meet your instructors!
Miss Heidi has been dancing for many years, starting around the age of 3! She has been teaching for over 20 years and is the owner of Dance Defined Studio, in which she also took classes growing up! She majored in dance at University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and has been trained in many style of dance including African dance and modern ballet. Heidi specializes in Modern dance styles and loves to instruct technigue! Miss Heidi's favorite dance memory is probably her first recital as owner of Dance Defined and seeing her vision come to life on the stage.
Miss Stacie started taking dance lessons at the age of 6 in Muskego, Wisconsin and has been teaching for 15 years! Throughout her dance tenure, she has been a part of the Milwaukee Wave dance team, Radio Disney Dancers, Femme Feroce Performance company, and was a short term back-up dancer for a Disney musican! She competed and performed all over the US, training under some of the best Choreographers in the nation. Her favorite styles of dance are lyrical and Hip Hop. Her favorite dance memory was dancing at the 2007 BCS Bowl Game in New Orleans!
Miss Melissa danced for 15 years and trained for 6 years in a company program. She competed in both regional and national competitions around the country. Sharing her passion for dance has always been a priority. She began assistant teaching at the age of 11 and started teaching her own classes, as an apprentice, her sophomore year in high school. She has over 10 years of teaching experience among all ages. In addition, Miss Melissa competed on her varsity high school dance team and took 2 years of college dance courses. She loves tap and ballet and has fond dance memories of teaching her younger sister.
